Kate Schmidli

Kate is a proud graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts’ acclaimed Music Theatre course.

As a teacher, Kate has worked for the Australian Girls Choir (WA), Tiny Tutus and various dance schools in both WA and Victoria. Currently she teaches at multiple Stage Left venues around Melbourne and provides vocal coaching and choreography within schools. She has been teaching voice for young people independently for many years and has experience in teaching the AMEB musical theatre curriculum.

As a performer, Kate most recently stepped on stage as Clarice in Dreamsong at The Alex Theatre. In the same year, she also played Shana in Blackrock in a production she co-produced with EbbFlow Theatre Company to rave reviews. Previously she has also been seen in the ensemble of Paris! A Rock Odyssey with Brian Mannix and John Waters and workshops of multiple new Australian works. Kate can also be seen stepping into the Melbourne jazz scene as a guest vocalist for funk band Dig We Must.

Kate is also a qualified Barre instructor and holds a First Aid Certification.
