Student Testimonials
“Lisa-Marie Parker is, in my humble opinion, one of our country's leading voice teachers and mentors. Her ability to incorporate both her technical understanding of vocal functions and her first-hand knowledge of the practical demands of a career as a professional voice user into her teaching are unparalleled. Her teaching style is warm and nurturing - you can see and hear how much Lisa cares about the art of singing and she, rightly so, expects the same from her students. Personally, her career mentorship, unwavering support and championing has been invaluable to me as I was starting out in this crazy industry. I'm yet to come across another teacher who gives themselves so wholly to each and every one of their students. The vocal and personal growth I've witnessed in both myself and fellow students is staggering and it's no surprise her waiting list grows longer by the day! As a long-standing student of over 8 years, I highly recommend Lisa-Marie Parker Vocal Studio and will always be indebted to her guidance and care. .”

“I have only been with Lisa for a short time, but I already feel like I’m part of a tight knit family. She has made me feel so included and so, so valued as a performer and as a person. What is so refreshing is that she puts in more effort than any other coach/teacher I have seen. This effort also pays off, as I have had such a successful time with auditions in the past few months. I look forward to seeing where the future will take me with Lisa by my side!!”

“Lisa-Marie was recommended to me by one of my work colleagues. The atmosphere she creates in any space we work in is so warm and inviting. Instantly I felt like I was in a safe environment when I walked into Lisa-Marie's Studio. I was and am always excited for our lessons together and what we will create, develop, and work on. Lisa-Marie's knowledge, teaching, and technical skills have helped shape my voice in ways I love and I am so grateful for all the work and care she puts in. Lisa-Marie is knowledgeable and not just with voice but also with performance skills, storytelling, and thought processes when singing. I didn't know what I expected exactly before our first lesson but I definitely didn't think I would learn so much and have developed my voice as much as we have in nine months. I really appreciate all the work you do.

“I haven't been working with Lisa in her amazing studio for long, however I can truly say how much I have been enjoying my lessons. Her knowledge and experience is incredible and I am understating my voice like I haven't been able to before. She is so willing to help and I really feel she is completely on my side. I am also able to comfortably make mistakes and learn from them, that something that I feel is very important in a singing lesson. I can't wait to continue working with Lisa.”

“I started training with Lisa at age 15 in 2011 after hearing she was an amazing teacher - and I can vouch for this! I am forever grateful for Lisa’s mentorship and support throughout my school years, and have her to thank for being accepted into WAAPA. The thing I love most about lessons with Lisa is her passion for my development, and that is what has brought me back to her after graduating from my course. Without fail, I leave every lesson having learnt something new. This is a testament to Lisa’s teaching!! The studio is also the most lovely community to be involved in. All students are part of a Facebook group community, where information is posted about auditions and workshops. Lisa-Marie Parker Vocal studio is the perfect place for anyone who wants to develop their voice, and have fun doing it! .”

“Being my first year with Lisa, I cannot imagine having anyone else to go train my vocal. Any hiccup in the road I’ve had was patiently adhered to and planned to accordingly to help me further my vocal training even when not physically singing. She has endless care and support for every single student and is there every step of the way with keeping us up to date with upcoming auditions and planning her own workshops. ”
